Armed with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University, she furthered her education at Boston University’s School of Medicine, graduating in 1976 and setting the stage for a dynamic and influential medical trajectory.

Dr. Weingast’s initial foray into the medical field was characterized by substantial growth in practical experience and specialized knowledge. Nurturing her skills at two distinguished hospitals in Denver, Colorado – Colorado General Hospital and St. Anthony’s Hospital – she underwent a comprehensive spectrum of training. A recent and remarkable achievement is her role as the Chief of Breast Imaging at the William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich.
