It is simply the case that everyone has benefited from Dr. Gail Weingast’s more than four decades of knowledge and experience. She started out by getting a lot of education, starting with a medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine. As is usually the case with doctors, she followed that up with a lot more education and training. After medical school, Dr. Gail Weingast complete a pediatrics internship and a pediatrics residency, as well as a radiology residency and an ultrasound fellowship, all at Colorado General Hospital in Denver. She finished those programs by 1983 and followed by the completion of post-graduate radiology studies in 1983 and 1984 at St. Anthony’s Hospital, also in Denver.

Nearly four decades later, Dr. Gail Weingast has come to be well-known and highly regarded as a top radiology specialist at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut, where she has been for more than two decades. She is now the Chief of Ultrasound and Breast Imaging and she has played a critical role in turning her department into one of the best in the country and perhaps the world. Dr. Gail Weingast values every aspect of her educational and career journey because it made her the doctor she is.
