She became Dr. Gail Weingast way back in 1976, which means that patients and other medical specialists have depended on her high level of skill for more than four decades by now. That’s impressive, especially when you consider that getting her MD and becoming a doctor was little more than the beginning of her career education. After she finished medical school, Dr. Gail Weingast did a pediatrics internship and residency at Colorado General Hospital in Denver over the next few yers, then she did a radiology residency and an ultrasound technology internship at the same hospital over the next seven years. Dr. Gail Weingast completed her post-graduate studies as a radiologist at St. Anthony’s Hospital, also in Denver, from 1983 to 1984.

Dr. Gail Weingast practiced at several other hospitals in Colorado and New York before she settled into what has since become her medical home, where she has become the top radiology specialist at the prestigious William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut. For about a quarter-century, Dr. Gail Weingast has been the Chief of Ultrasound and Breast Imaging, and she has transformed her department into one of the best radiological facilities in the country. Dr. Gail Weingast places great value in her four decades of knowledge and experience as a doctor, and most people agree with her.
